Help SD card and home screen

nbhat

Lurker
Hi

I have the vibrant and recently added an SD card to move some apps into it.

I have created app shortcuts that stay on my home screen, but every time i shut my phone off, the shortcuts get removed. Is there any way i can prevent this from happening??

Also, can I move the apps, which get stored on the "programs" storage area (which is only 1.87GB), to use my internal storage which I have 16 GB

Thanks

I can't answer your question about the home screen shortcuts as I do not have a Vibrant. I hope someone else can answer that question for you.

As far as moving apps from the phone storage to SD storage, the best way to do that is with an app that can scan the apps on your phone and tells you which ones you can move. Not all apps can be moved to SD; the app to be written to allow it. The best program I have found so far is App 2 SD @ Appbrain. It makes it so much easier that trying to do it all manually.

Hope this helps :)

Do the shortcuts never reappear? Keep in mind that the SD card isn't immediately avaialble on startup. Watch your notification bar. It will tell you when the SD card is ready. Check for the shortcuts after the SD card is ready.
