SD card backup

What is the easiest way to back up my SD card? I fear I need to get a new one. I am not sure if it's something on my card, or the card itself. Something is causing all kinds of problems on my phone. I have done a master reset multiple times, received a replacement phone and still nothing. I have a Droid x with a 16gig card.

stick it into your PC and copy everything over? Or even better make an image of it?

Personally I have a bash setup to backup all my sdcard info onto my computer. I use 7zip and just update the zip file. Works very well. You can also just drag and drop

you can check the SDCARD in windows by going into a dos box and type:

chkdsk x: /f /r

replace x with the actual drive letter (also do this from a card reader and not the phone.)

If there are any errors on the card this should repair them or at least let you know if your card is damaged
