SD Card does not exist

So, I downloaded a ROM from a website, meant to zip it while it was on the computer, but I forgot. I transferred it over to my SD card from the computer, and I realized my phone had the option zip files, so I did so. When the file finished, my phone told me that the SD card was unexpectedly removed. Now, it won't register on my phone. And yes, I have tried turning it on and of again.

Get a card reader (they're around $5 or less) and see if the card shows in your computer. If not, the card may be shot. (If it's a SanDisk card, contact them about a replacement.) If the card shows in the computer (at all, even if you can't read it), but not in the phone, try formatting it (to FAT32). Then see if it shows in the phone.

(I assume you've removed the card when the phone was off, then reinserted it, just to make sure that it's not a dirty contact causing the problem.)
