Help Sd card getting currupted

I don't know if its just me but ive currupted 2 cards already. 1 let me reformat from windows and is back in the phone. The other is fricked. Is this happening to anyone else?

The cards were from previous phones and still had info on them. my phone is rooted and unlocked (unlocked after 1st failure). I deleted a crapload of stock programs, Nothing to do with card reading or important system files. I'm also using mp3s on my sd card as ringtones. I don't dl many apps. And everything else works great on the phone. Wierd....

Anyone else having this happen?

I had a corrupted card message once (happened on 2 cards), but it was fixed with reboot. try turning off the phone and taking the card out, then turn the phone back on without it. when reboot it again and put sdcard back. I hope this helps

The card that came with mine was doing that about 3-4 times a day. It would usually be recongized on its own if the phone sat idle. Sometimes I would need to reboot. I swapped it out for a Sandisk card I already had and have had no problems since. I checked the old card on Windows and it had bad sectors.

my girls phone has the same problem. I'm either gonna have windows try and fix it and then format it or get her another

This happened to me at one point when I moved the Dolphin Mini app to my SD card and tried to use it as my default browser. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the problems reading the SD card, but it might be worth checking to make sure all of your default apps are installed on the phone itself.

My problem went away when I "upgraded" to 2.2.1 (which I somewhat regret doing on account of losing the ability to root my phone).

No problems since then? My girls phone still has the problem after the upgrade. I haven't really had time to mess with her phone (or allowed to)

I was having this same issue with the stock SD card. I replaced it with a 16GB Kingston and have not had the issue once since then. Just make sure you replace with a legit card. There are a ton of counterfeits going around on Ebay and Amazon right now, I hear these counterfeits go bad in a matter of days.

I shop Newegg almost exclusively for memory cards. Sometimes I will go Buy.com, but only if they are the actual seller and not a partner.
