Help SD card issue

This started a couple of weeks ago, when I try to update an app thats on the sd card or even dl a new app that can gp there, I keep getting a message that its unable to be written to the external storage. My OV is unrooted, has 53 megs free on my phone and about 400 free on the sd card. Apps launch from it fine though. Any ideas?

The card may have flaked on you. If possible, try putting your sd card in a computer and see if you can write to it.

There is an Android bug that will leave a file on the SD card essentially marking it unwritable for the market. All you have to do is delete the file using a file manager and you should be fine (if the SD card is indeed undamaged.)
