Help SD card issues

[gutted]

My SD card is being very finicky. Sometimes I get warnings about it being not present, or about it being blank, etc. Usually this happens when I have it plugged in via USB to my computer. Other times when not plugged in, when I start up the camera app it says there's no SD card present.

Now, I'm assuming it's the card itself... do you all think getting a new card would fix my issues? Is this common for our phone?

Try backing up your card reformatting it to fat32 and restoring the items back. let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I can't format with the Atrix since its stuck in the "preparing sd card, checking for errors" mode. How should I reformat? I did do fat32 when I used the PC but it was connected to the captivate. Also, how would I back it up, do I need a special app?
