Help sd card just keeps scanning

LG connect 4g phone just keep scanning sd card cand never finishes. I have a new 32GB card bought today. do I need to format the card? I want to put mp3's on the card.

Yeah, try formatting in the storage settings.
If that doesn't work then try formatting on over.if it's still no go return the card as it may well be defective.

Oh, Also go ahead and attach the phone to a over and see if it has created folders on there for music, android secure etc. If it has the card should be good.

do I format it to FAT32? the card that can with phone says FAT

The phone automatically makes a folder just drop your other ones (one at a time is faster than batch BTW) into it.
