Root SD card not recognised in 2.3.4!!!

Hello just wondering if anyone can help me here, i've just upgraded my phone to 2.3.4 CyanogenMod 7.1.0-RC0 v2.0 M6 and i'm still using my old 2gb class 2 sd card and works ok but obviously it's not ideal for speed and capacity! i've just bought a new Kingston 16gb class 4 sd card but it doesn't get recognsed by the phone. Is there anything i can do to get this card recognised in my phone? Do i need to change the file system on the card? cheers in advance

You'll need a class 6 or higher for 4GB+ cards. :\

I have a class 4 4GB card that works perfectly fine..


You'll need to buy a new card, with the right class for the size

It's actually a hardware issue with the GT540 that causes the problem so it unlikely to be sorted out in the software.

It's not most of the time, the GT540 has support for up to 32GB cards with stock 1.6/2.1. People find that when updating to custom ROMs that SD card support goes out the window..
