Root SD card not working..

OK so last night I was downloading a movie or two, about an hour or two later my phone gives me the unmounted notification... This morning my brand new 16 gig car will not be read...
 
Ebay and amazon all full of counter fit cards. Most common are 32gb. That are actualy 8gbs. And once you get over 8 gb they ether stop working. Or your data deletes its self. Radio shack and best buy have 32gb for like $15. Id stay away from buying them online. Have you tryied. Putting it in a pc or another device
