Help SD Card on the CPU

I have alot of music on my SD card, but when i plug the phone into the cpu and make it a disk drive, the music is no where to be found.....what needs to be done? The music is there because i play it on my phone.

First you are connecting the phone with a PC (not with CPU).
Second, after you connect the phone to PC, select Disk Drive option. Then use File Explorer on PC to find the SD card and browse its content.

I open up the drive under My Cpu: and it has folders such as "music" "downloaded music" "Media"....but nothing has my music in it.

If you don't know the exact location/path of your music files, you can try to use a file explorer application in the phone to search and locate them (like ES File Explorer).
Then when you connect to PC, you can navigate to that specific folder and see the files.

You will see two new drive letters when you connect the phone and enable the "disk drive" option. One is the phone storage and the other is the SD card. Maybe you're looking at the wrong one.

You do have to find out which file your phone uses for music. Where did you get the SD card? Some cards have those generic files on them - especially if the cards were not phone specific.

If you have the phone's software, that will put the files where you want them.
If you are just seeing the card as a storage device, you will have to look in a forum or be more specific about your phone. And your file formats. Most everything handles MP3, but I've seen WAV, AAC, and OGG.
I've used the same card in a bunch of different phones - BB, Nokia, Samsung, and they all have different ideas about what goes where. I had to make a folder for audio/sounds on the Samsung as I prefer MID files for most ringtones.

^ This. As stated above, use a file manager to verify the specific location(s) of the files.
