Help SD Card Problem

I woke up this morning, turned on my Eris (which is rooted), and it said "Damaged SD Card." I started looking through all the apps and my contacts and everything was fine. However, when I turned on my music app it said that my SD card is missing. HTC sync also says that my SD card is missing. But it isn't, and now my phone wants me to reformat my SD card which would erase everything I have on it! :( What should I do!?
 
Get an SD Card reader for your computer. Take the sd card out of your phone and plug it in. If your computer reads it, copy all files from sd card to computer and try reformatting it. If it doesn't, looks like your sd card is fried.
