Help SD card problem?

got up earlier and turned the tab on only to be greeted with the sd card is damaged notification it needs formating, which isnt particualy good as ive now got to fill it again withmusic and films for my trip at 3pm..

android is pants this is a big step towards moving to apple, the card is a brand new lexar 32gb high speed (10) and only 3weeks old from a reputable source so not a fake,

Any idea what could have caused this it was fine 10hrs ago and was just charging over night its corrupded it to the point where ive lost everything that was on it via the tablet or pc card reader??
 
Could be dirty contacts in the slot, or a magnet in proximity to the card. Could just be a defective card...legit brand-name products have fewer failures but some do fail.

You know if you change to Apple you won't have the option to use SD cards at all, right? What if you just load your Android device's internal memory as if it was Apple?
 
it was just pretty bad timing which meant i was annoyed and without lots of music and films etc on hols tut seems fine now other than trying to copy everything over again in the few hrs i had..
