Help sd card problems

I brought my htc wildfire s on the 22nd of october and then purchased a new 16gb sandisk micro sd card. Ever since my phone has said that i have removed my memory card when i try to download stuff onto my phone.

have you tried restarting the phone? that worked for me when i was swapping sd cards.

and try out sd rescan from the market, might do the trick also.
