Help SD card says damaged

I have a optimus V cell phone that cannot read the sd card. when it does read the card it says that I have a damaged card. I tried to format the card and erase everything on it but that didn't do nothing. It still says it is damaged.. I also tried installing another sd card but that still says the same thing..It just came out of no where this problem...can someone help me out....thanks

Do either of the cards work in a computer? It sounds like it may be your uSD card reader on the Optimus V.

On the off chance that it's a problem with both cards, have you tried repairing them with a pc?
Open up command prompt (start > run > cmd.exe) type chkdsk /X /F <your SD card drive letter>
If that doesn't help, I'd consider doing a hard reset on the phone in case the sd card interface problem is a corrupted driver or some other software fault (you will lose all your stored info!). If the problem persists, it's probably a hardware issue with the phone. Good luck!
