Help SD Card size?

Besides the obvious fact of being able to hold more data and applications, are there any other benefits in having a larger SD card installed?

I have an 8g card now (down to about 4g with all my apps on it) but am considering bumping up to the 16 or 32 sometime soon.
Will a larger SD card allow my phone to run smoother? or faster?
Are there any other perks?

Nothing magical here. You just get more storage space. I put in a 32GB and haven't noticed anything being better or smoother other than I can store a lot of photos, a lot of music and a lot of videos. I'll have to do some house cleaning soon because I am down to my last 3 GB.
