Help SD card stopped mounting

Hi,

I just switched from an iPhone to the Incredible 2 last week. Things were going great until today when the SD card stopped mounting. As a result, certainly applications aren't working right anymore (Dolphin browser, SwiftKey X, etc.). When I go to settings, SD and phone storage, mount SD card and format SD card are grayed out. Total space is listed as unavailable. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

(Sorry if this is an obvious one; as I said, I'm new to Android. I did do a search in the forum and didn't see anything about this.)

try cleaning the sd cards metal connections with alcohol and q tip

Did you reboot the phone? Battery pull?

Thanks for the advice. I took the card out, cleaned the contacts, and things seem to be working now. (Such a foreign concept for this former iPhone user to actually be able to take anything out of the phone. Steve Jobs would never have approved!)
