Help SD card???

As I was talking on my X, I heard the phone make some weird sounds. I looked at the screen and it has something about the sd card in the notification bar. The sd card must have died or something. I can not access my sd card at all. It says I need to format it. Has anyone ever have this problem?

I just put the card in my computer and it looks like its empty. Its asking me to format it. Im trying a program to search all files on the card and so far, its empty.

Yup, happens all the time. Your sdcard took a dump.

Sounds like your FAT got corrupted. That's File Allocation Table, without a readable copy of that, your card is unreadable.

If you can still use the card, you can recover the lost data. In my cases in the past, the card went completely kaput. I have had three. I am even waiting for a replacement 32gig from Samsung as we speak.
