Lurker
i am new to the smartphone world and just got a stratosphere...the problem i am having is when i put in my sd card from my old samsung rogue phone my stratosphere loads only my videos and music from sd card....i cannot find where my pictures went. also on my old samsung rogue i was able to send myself ringtones through texting and save as either ringtone or alert. can i do the same on stratosphere, if so, how do i set ringtones/alerts that i want?? thx

this shouldnt be in the root forum, but the process is still pretty simple

if you txt yourself the ringtone you want simply select save attachment

now open the my files app (under applications)

and browse to the downloads folder

play the ringtone file you just saved
now hit the menu button and select set as and pick ringtone or alert

if i were you i would just put the SD card into a computer and copy the files off it and then back onto the the card after formatting it with the stratosphere.(i also came from a rogue, however my sd card in the strat was bigger so i just copied my files over to that)

sorry about posting in wrong thread....im a newbie to forums...aslo when i saved ringtone it dont have the option to save as a "notification ringtone"... any advice on how to do this?

Settings > Sound Settings > Notifications Ringtone is the path you take to set notifications.

i have tried this and the ringtone i want is not in the list....it saved under ringtones....there is not an option to save as "notification ringtone"

ok then here is the other method, make a folder on the root of the SD card called notifications, put the file in there, it should now show up in the list.
