Help SD Installed Apps Problem/Question For Android 2.2

I recently got an LG Optimus One Andoid 2.2 phone, and have moved some Applications to the SD card. The move happens fine, and after moving (without turning off the phone), I can see the app in the Downloaded section and launch the application fine too.

The problem I'm getting is that after I turn off, then turn on my phone, the SD card Applications no longer show up, so I can't run them.

They do appear as 'SD installed' when I go to Managed Apps and I can move them fine back to the Phone (I need to restart the phone for them to show up though).

I bought a Kingston Class4 Micro SDHC 8Gig card yesterday, and I thought originally that the card speed was too slow, so that during phone initialization, it didn't catch that I had apps installed on the SD. However, even when I switch back to the stock 2Gig SD card that came with the phone (also with SD Apps installed), I still don't see the Apps in the Downloaded Apps launch page (but again, they are visible in Managed Apps).

It this normal and/or has anyone seen this before? One of the reasons I was excited about Android 2.2 was I read I could store/run Apps from SD. Unfortunately right now, I can store apps, but can't run directly from SD.

I looked though all the configuration and did some googling, but couldn't find any information on this.

Any help and/or information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am having the same problem. After moving Gtasks to SD Card, the widget would not load. The app will run fine. I moved it back to phone and it still runs fine. But it still does not show up in the widget selection. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling it and see.

Android still has a long way to go in this respect as compared to symbian. Almost all apps I installed only to SD Card without any problems at all.

Found out from another forum that it's a problem with the LG launcher. Install LauncherPro and use that as the default launcher, and the issues will go away.
