Help SDcard mounting issue

Pappy62

Anyone else having issues with their phone mounting/unmounting the External SD card? (or the Internal SD for that matter)
I'm running ZVB...

I see that... based on the number of views, you and 52 other people aren't having the same issue apparently. lol
No, it's doing the same thing with the internal card too... it's a 'mild' bug that some people have with the Esteem, but it's apparently a HUGE bug on my phone... the kind in 1950's Japanese monster movies. This one could kick Godzilla's butt.
:p

The crazy part is that it's random... it doesn't do it all the time. (although more often than not)
Just like Mothera...

Rooted, stock (no custom ROMs, but running Blitzkrieg 2.0 as of last night, and PG's OC'd kernel prior to that )... but it was doing this prior to the new kernel, so it can't be that.
It's an ongoing issue... it did this out of the box.

Photos, videos, apps, etc... everything on the ExSD AND InSD shows up and disappears at random... sometimes unmounting and then mounting the SD card works, but more often - not.

Try making a backup of all the files stored in the SD card. Then format the card using the computer. Then when you instert it to the phone, format it once again but this time from the phone. And then restore all the files you backed up to SD.

Yep... did that twice in the last few weeks. I'm at a loss

hmmmm, damm that sucks... does it feel loose when you stick it in? 'hahaha that sounded sooooo dirty' :D and maybe try upgrading to like a class 4 or 6 if you have 8g+ sd card...

another thing is maybe if you used the sd card in a different device and had a ext partition, that should be removed and blah blah blah go through all the checks lol sorry for your issues

The card I have is a class 4... it worked just fine in my Optimus.
I don't think it's a physical card issue - the Internal (virtual) card unmounts randomly at times too, and it seems both do it at the same time...

I guess you will need to do a factory reset. Have you done back ups?

First thing I did after rooting and CWM... and before both OC'd kernels I've tried...that's not an issue. lol
Has anyone tried Mitch's new Blitzkrieg 2.1?
2.0 rebooted on me in the middle of the night, and the sound woke me up... it just sat there stuck in a bootloop until I pulled the batt... I had it set at 1.3GHz... it's been stable so far this morning at 1.0GHz.
Time to try something new, as my phone apparently is quite odd and fickle.
I sure do want to keep the HDMI working if possible...

he recently posted a new kernel that fixes the reboots. check his OP, its the 2.0 one. he is working on it so it doesn't reboots
