sdcard unavailable

I'm new to tablets, etc. Forgive if question naive. . .

I have a Yarvik TAB462 (10-inch tablet) in order to use MobileSheets app to display music scores. When I try to load the scores as .pdf files in the prescribed way, I'm told there is no path to the sdcard. Using Terminal Emulator to look at the directory, it shows the sdcard as 'permission denied'. How can I get the sdcard operating so I can load my music files?

Thanks for reply, but sorry, don't understand... Lock switch?

The sdcard in question is not a physical card for insertion in a slot - it's an internal data storage facility. (I'm not sure why the term 'sdcard' is used: it seems a bit confusing to me, when there is also a slot for a physical micro-SD card).

Thanks: I expect you're right, but my trouble is with the internal one (just called 'sdcard') which is not accepting any data and is not accessible. Advice on how to rectify that woudl be v. welcome.

Not sure about, but I think for one time I had to define a path with /mnt/sdcard/... for a folder on the tab's internal storage.

do you have a file manager? use es file manager from the play store and see if you can access the internal sd card. it should show up there. if not then you might have to try and do a factory reset on your tablet which will erase data so be forewarned.
