Help Search country problems

I'm in Australia and I have a European model HTC Desire and whenever I search with the search button or the Google search bar I get results for UK websites. The ebay app also keeps resetting to the UK ebay site and the Android market sometimes shows prices is $AUD and sometimes in

So I worked it out myself if anyone is interested. The search bar searches for websites from the country in the language setting but there was no other choices available that "English (Germany"). To get the phone to search Australian websites from the search button I had to download an app called MoreLocale2 which allowed me to set the language to "English (Australia)".
