Root Searching a step-by-step guide to rooting, unlocking and all else but...

Seeing that I'm moving out of the country to China my Samsung will no longer be under warranty nor will I be committed to my provider hence I could do whatever I want with it. The question is how. I want to take my phone with me so I can then use something local--basically get a sim card and go. Can anyone guide me to the right direction please?

Of course I'm assuming I'll be able to use it in China
my phone is: GT-S7560M
and what I've found out about China is that:
One company only supports: anything that accepts common GSM-2G phones
Another: any unlocked phone that supports 2100 Mhz 3G
China Telecom uses a CDMA network
TDD-LTE mostly on 2500 Mhz,
another: 1800 Mhz FDD-LTE
I don't really know what the above mean.

Everyone is moving to China...LOL.

That phone is quite straight forward. Yes it will work in China depending on the carrier, provided it's unlocked of course.

Unicom, no problems 2G or 3G.
Mobile, 2G only, as their 3G is TD-SCDMA not UMTS.
Telecom, nope, as that's a CDMA network.

Galaxy Ace 2 Canadian version:
Networks
GSM:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
UMTS:
850/1900/2100 MHz
Data:
GPRS, EDGE, HSUPA, HSPA+

Thanks mikedt :-) That info is useful and will come in handy for sure. You will have saved me some ground work.
And now for the question actually asked, which I now realize wasn't really clear. How do I root, unlock, bootloader unlocking, or whatever my phone? I was wondering if someone had a link whereby a clear and concise step-by-step is shown. There are sites which say so but I don't know which to trust nor have I seen (limited research so far) good step-by-step guides. Thanks again
