Help Searching for service....... again

About 2 weeks ago my phone was stuck searching for service all day. Now here I am again with no service and a phone that is just searching.

In the morning my phone was working, then I was in the middle of dialing a number, stopped to do something else, placing my phone in my pocket, and noticed that my phone restarted. When it started back up I went outside noticed that my phone was now searching for service. I walked back into my apartment and my 3g started working. I left my place again and noticed that the service was now back too searching. Finally, it has remained in searching mode even at my apartment (was weird how it kind of kicked back in at my apartment).

I emailed customer support but that is a joke of a response.

The first time this happened I called customer support and they put me on high priority or whatever. I ended up doing the hard reset and deleted everything off my phone. About an hour later it started working. The next day I got a call from customer support saying that something was wrong on there end. Not sure if they fixed it or the hard reset did.

The one thing I have done both times that brought this problem within like 24 hours is try the wifi hot spot through quick settings. This past time I didnt even send any data, just checked if it worked or not.

Could the wifi hotspot have any issue on this?

Or has anybody else ever had this issue?

Nod, standard CS (for many companies, not just VM) tends to involve a lot of reading through a script. CS people who are new at the job or just not very good tend to just stick to the script & repeat themselves even if you've told them you already did everything they are saying, etc.

After about 3 minutes of that, I just go ahead & ask for a supervisor or use a tech support number or whatever. And that usually takes care of things. I'm sure there are some great CS people, but it's the luck of the draw, so it's often better to just go on up the ladder. *shrug*
