Root SecMMS.apk

My gf wanted the lg g3 sms app on her phone so I installed it and it just consantly gave her error message which made the phone unusable so I uninstalled it from her phone. This is where the problem begins, I backed up the secMMS.apk and secMMs.odex but when I put them back into the correct file location and try to install it always says that the app is not installed so if anyone would be so kind as to help me out id much appreciate it.<br/>

Do you remember was it in /system/app or /system/Priv-App?

I can't check because I'm still running a G2 and it could be different. Anyway, did you also check the permissions on them when you attempted reinstall? Make sure they're set to 0644 (rw-r--r--).

It was in /system/Priv-App. I did not check the permissions though. I will try that when she gets home and post results

Sounds good, yeah seems sometimes the permissions don't reset to the right configuration when adding them back for whatever reason. I've been nailed on that a few times. Easy to change with Root Explorer if you have it.
