Second gmail account access

hello

I have had my HTC Wildfire phone for about eight months and think its really great. However I now want to add a second gmail account, I followed the instructions in the manual and all goes well and the phone tells me that the new account is registerd to my phone. But when I look at the original account emails and select menu/accounts the second account is not there, any ideas anyone?

Are you using the HTC email app or the Gmail app from the market?

If you go to menu>settings>accounts & sync and tap on the second gmail, you should be able to select sync contacts.

If you go to menu>settings>accounts & sync and tap on the second gmail, you should be able to select sync contacts.

I have followed the instructions that you gave but there is only one account (the original account) in the directory.

Try adding the account this way ... go to menu>settings>accounts & sync and press the add account button on the bottom of your screen. Then fill in the account information and see if it shows up that way. If it does, then tap the account and make sure everything is set to sync (if you want it to sync)

Thanks for the tip which I have just tried, after adding the account details google tells me that the account is registered to my phone, however the only account that appears in the 'manage accounts' sync screen is the original account. I now am beginning wonder if this is problem is associated with the ongoing cessation of google calendar notifications.
