These are done using the dialer. Are you using the dialer and it is still not working?

All of these codes are used like makeing a phone call like *228. And you have to put them EXACTLY!! you miss one * or #, or get them in the wrong order they won't work.

And yes this should be stickied... Mod's hint hint.

testing some of them, so far 4636 worked for me and brought me into system info, very similar to what spare parts gives me, 7780 nothing just cleared what I had typed in the dialer and continued on like normal, *2767*3855# luckily this didnt do anything (forgot that it doesnt ask confirmation while typing it), *#*#34971539#*#* nothing as well, *#*#7594#*#* Also nothing I was looking forward to this one, *#*#273283*255*663282*#*#* nothing as well,
*#*#197328640#*#* also nothing, not sure what could be causing only that first one to work

phone info Moto droid, rooted, running 1.25ghz LV p3 kernel on kangerade froyo 5.09
Really want to set power button to just directly shut my phone off
