Security Hole Apparently Affects Just About Every Android Phone - Techland - TIME.com

Anyone see this article yet? Can anyone confirm that we do indeed have a security concern, since we're only up to 2.2?

Yep, this definitely applies to our phones, but as stated in the article, the security flaw is only exploitable when you connect to unencrypted wifi...there are all sorts of security concerns when you connect to an unencrypted wifi network with any device. It's all about understanding that those risks exist (most people fail this first test) and managing them.

Exactly. Yes, it is an issue, but I think someone is pounding on the "android is insecure" too much and not mentioning the "unencrypted wifi is bad on any device" enough.
