Help seems like a common problem

then again, my situation could be different. but anyway, i was on a call last night and my battery died. i placed it on the charger and tried to power the phone back on and it wouldn't turn on so i just assumed that my battery was way past dead, ha.

i let it charge for a couple of hours and tried to power the phone back on, but it won't turn on! then, this morning...same thing, only thing though..the phone display says the battery is fully charged (full green battery photo) still won't turn on.

i have no idea what the problem is, tried to find some troubleshooting and found nothing that would help. i even removed the battery and the sd card for about 1 minute, replaced the battery and card and held down the power button for about 3 seconds and still nothing.

what does someone recommend i do to fix this? i'm not trying to purchase another battery, which so far sounds like i might have to if i can't find a quick fix for this.

:mad::(:confused:

Try this...
1) Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
2) Disconnect the phone from any power supply.
3) Pull the battery out for several minutes. Better yet... overnight.
4) Firmly depress the power button with the battery out.
5) Replace the battery and try to turn the phone on.

If that doesn't work, you could always try to do a factory reset per the instructions below, but then you would lose your apps and any data in the RAM & ROM (though if you have an SD-card reader you could copy any data on your SD card to your PC or someplace safe).

1) Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus S is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it.
2) Hold the Home and Volume Down button.
3) Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device.

Again, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the LG Optimus S. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
