Help Seems simple, but...

Hey, Guys!

I know there has to be an easy way to move data files from a Galaxy S3 to a Windows7 laptop...

The trick is, other than having a USB connection, I have no way of controlling the phone to allow it.

The phone's display is dead, but still turns off/on, its audio notifying me of new messages, charging the battery.

Any ideas or tips to lead me are greatly APPRECIATED! ;)

Thanks for the link! Lot's of good information and (for me) proper terminology and process tips, and things I hadn't thought off to use in the future!

The Samsung Galaxy S3 uses a single port for everything: HDMI, USB data, charging, etc. The other thing that MAY work in my favor is, that even though my display is FUBAR, it still responds to touch commands, ie; swipe to unlock, change screens, scroll, etc. The camera/video still works, and the headphone jack and sound are still functional. Something else I wasn't totally aware of, is the ability for these phones to share data by touching another phone! So, although I may be in the weeds, I'm still not totally out of luck when it comes to retrieving my data and files from my mostly destroyed S3!

Keep those ideas coming folks! :D
