Accessories Seidio Battery Initial Drain?

Hey guys

So i have the 3300 mAh Seidio Battery which I have started to use, and I noticed that if I leave it on the charger overnight (which is it my usual way of charging my phone) The battery will complete charging a get a few extra hours of charge (which they recommend to get a full charge on these)

After removing it from the charger in the first few hrs the battery drops to 82% without being used much....

However if i remove the phone as soon as it is fully charged i can get about 15 hrs of use and still have about 71% remain.....

So here is what I am thinking.

The phone once charged does not continue charging the battery and only tops off?

or

I need to do something with the phone's battery indicator to get it reset???

Any Ideas Guys?

Thanks

If you are rooted, wipe your battery stats.

If not, run it through the charging cycle that seidio recommends a few times. It sounds like you got a bad battery and may need seidio to replace it though.

That is what I thought it was at first and then I charged it to full ... unplugged it and got some serious time (15 hrs and still had 71% left)

Is it a new battery that you just got or have you had it for a while..? if its new how many times have you charged it already..?

I have about 7 -8 cycles on the battery already. But I am going to run it to about 15 cyles and see if this still happens.

Just this morning the 1st hr it has drained 10% but then during the day it will only use 20% for 5 or 6 hours of actual usage (in the morning I barely use it)

Hopefully it just needs time to condition and not a bad cell.

Thanks again guys...

yeah i was gonna say that im just about on my 5th charge and my battery is lasting longer now.

are you using a battery app.. cause i dont think currently that there is a battery APP that can correctly detect extended type batteries.. battery APPs only work on regular batters. just thought id put that out there. on the other hand.. My battery doesnt show its first signs of drainage till like 6-7 hours after fully charged. thats using the stock battery sign on the notification bar. well keep it updated if u still cant get good battery life.

I just ran it all day usually my stock battery is down to about 10% and now the Seidio is about 22% ... but it was a weekend maybe I used it more?? I will run it during the week and see what happens... thanks for the help
