seidio extended battery

I'm just wondering has anyone bought the seidio 3800mah battery for the nexus? or is it really that ugly that no one bought it? lol

I didn't buy the battery but my friend did and I can say that it doesn't look as bad in person as it does on the website. It's still fugly, but not quite as fugly as my initial impressions from the photos on websites.

That said, i still won't buy it. I already have 2 oem extended batteries, which is more mAh than the Seidio spec'd 3800 mAh. Considering Seidio batteries never meet their specs, these 2 OEM standard batteries are even more of an advantage over the Seidio in terms of battery life. Of course, I have to carry the spare around, but I'm ok with that.

Im not sure about the extended batteries in the 3800-4000 mah range but I do know from person expierence I had the HTC EVO 4G slim extended battery and did a sticker pull from Seidio . Guess what I found ? A motorola battery cell with a serial number . I refrenced the serial number and low and behold it was the same capacity as the stock battery for the EVO 4G . That alone shook my confidence in Seidio .

LOL! I figured as much. Seidio please chime in.

Would love more owner reviews. I hate having to worry about my battery dying at night. If I go out for a late night in the city, I can't stand my battery dying too soon.

It's not terrible looking. It doesn't give a lot more juice than the first party extended battery though. The Seidio 3800 is probably closer to 2600-2800MAH. It gives barely a noticeable increase in battery life over the 2100 from Verizon. I regret buying it big time.

I have the OEM extended and the stock battery with the stock battery lasting longer than the extended from verizon. WTF!!!!

This leads me to the sedio battery, ICS update, or carry around a car battery. Unfortunately the Gnex battery life is way worse than my Thunderbolt!!! I love the Gnex but something has to be done with battery life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the battery and have been charging it to spec as they say. I have been taking a lot of notes and logging the battery life, time and what I did.

This battery is garbage. It barely last longer than my OEM extended.

I'm not sure if the battery is still working in but so far it's shit.

4th day charging it to full, plus 3 hours.

Today I am at 30% with 10 hours and light to medium use at best.

My thunderbolt (with HTC Extended) lasted 3 days while I was hammering on it.

I'm pretty pissed.

The seidio extended batteries are pretty much not as good as the OEM batteries in every case. The capacity is inflated. And they cost more than OEM. I will never buy another seidio battery after my HTC touch pro 2 issues with their battery. Seidio also never addresses the issues of their batteries. Some users have even opened up their batteries and the cells included are not to their claimed specs. Its a sham.
