Accessories seidio innocase active, opinions please

Awesome bro thanks. Any chance you could humor me and put on the extended battery cover door and shoot some pics? ;):D

Unfortuanlely I don't even have the extended battery door cover, but if you want I can take pics of the height difference between stock battery and extended with the stock battery cover so you can at least see if it is comparable to the one you have...

Anything you could provide would be great.

Thanks!

Looking at the innocase pics it does not have protetion at the top or bottom. If that is correct and it's a one piece item then take a look at this "knock off".

I bought 6 months ago and it's the best overall case I have had. I have 3 other caes but I always end up back at this one. Being open at the top and bottom has not been a problem and this case is the thinest I've found. It is metal and has a thin layer of non stick material added. At the price and free shipping it's worth a try.

Thanks a lot brother! Do you happen to know if it will fit with the extended battery and door? But for the price I hear you. Worth a shot!

Thanks for the tip!

I don't have an extended battery but I really don't think it will work because the case is very snug with a normal battery.

Ok well i finally got my case thanks to paypal. Just a lil quick tip, DON'T EVER buy anything that's not from a reputable place like amazon without using paypal. Better to pay a lil extra for piece of mind.

I'm pretty critical on things so here's my initial opinion of the Seidio Active Case and belt clip. Yes it is easy to put on. The silicone layer is thin and so is the hard rubberized plastic shell that goes around it. So over all it's probably the slimmest case that i've seen so far, comparible to the thin rubberized cases found on ebay and the Rocketfish case. The rubberized coating on the outside shell provides a lil grip but it does slide easily also out of your pocket. I put my phone in my front pocket, screen facing inside towards my leg. But what i noticed is that the bottom rubber lip does get caught slightly as it slides in my pocket. Don't know how this will effect the elasticity over time, as in it stretching out. The top rubber that covers the motorola logo on the front will be cut off right after this post cause it seriously annoys me! The side rubber lip is surprisingly snug, doesn't move almost at all, the hard outer case does a good job of holding it in place. If they would've done this at the top and bottom it would be even better. As far as the fit of the case with the phone in it, it fits very well. Minor adjustments on occassion as with any silicon case help.

The belt clip i'm not impressed with. I've had seidio belt clips in the past and thought very highly of them but not of this one. The spring on the top clip that holds the case in place on the clip is not strong at all. Any slight tug on the corner of the phone will cause the phone to pop right out. So not sure if i'm even goin to use it past today or not. It just doesn't give me that warm fuzzy.

Ok so for all y'all out there that been asking "does the extended battery and extended battery door fit in this case", here ya go, YES IT DOES!!! I put both the stock battery door and the extended battery door on and tried them out with the case and they fit exactly the same.

Last thing is the lint issue. OMG is it ever! First time i pulled it out of my pocket i thought the black silicone was white! My other rubberized cases attracted no lint and this ones holding a lint magnet! But they have said over time it will get better so i'll let y'all know in a week or so how this case works out.

Oh yeah the buttons. Lol. The side buttons are easy to push and pretty responsive. The power button takes more effort but is something i don't think will be a problem to get used to. So no issue with them.

Any questions that i didn't cover just ask. I'll try to post pics sometime this weekend.

Ok well i used this case for bout as long as i'm going to. Some opinions changed and some not. It's still a lint magnet. Maybe after a couple weeks it wouldn't be as much but it's annoying to deal with. i got a few comments like, what the heck is all over your phone. I don't wear baggy pants or tight pants, levi 527's, and i have to either be standing up or stretch my leg out straight to get it out of my pocket. Not that it's bulky at all but the silicon front edge does grab onto your inner pocket pretty good.
The thing that really made me where i won't use it anymore is that it's got a rubberized coating but it's still hard to hold onto. It's just slippery feeling. Almost like it's got a film over the rubber coating. I tried cleaning it with an alcohol pad and then just rubbing it with a cloth but it wouldn't go away. I almost dropped it a couple times using this case and i've never had that happen to me in the 6 months i've had it.
But i said that the belt clip didn't seem like it would keep it in, i was wrong. It catches on the back lip just enough that it would take some significant effort to get it out. But it doesn't fit on wide belts without some serious effort.
It does fit with the extended battery door but it fits better without it. Having the extended battery door makes the top edge between the shell and silicon seperate slightly. Not really noticeable though. The charging port does present a problem tho. The rubber round the port makes it hard to plug in. You can force it in and it will push up the rubber while it's plugged in and when.you unplug it, it goes back down.

Thanks for your informative posts. I may end up looking to get some kind of a skin for my phone. I can't find a case that I like, is not too bulky, and is not a lint/dust attractor.

Cheers.

I have an iskin for mine but not really impressed with it either. Yeah it offers more protection than just nothing. The thing that i don't like bout it is that the edges get caught on things and cause it to try and pdallas off. I haven't tried an invisishield so i'm not sure if it would be the same or nt. The best thing i've found is a "rubberized hard case" from ebay for $5. It fits with the extended battery and extended battery cover. It's identical to the rocketfish case, i compared in person! Very slim, almost nothing, and doesn't collect lint. Rubber coating helps you hold onto it and doesn't drag out my pocket when i pull it out. It also fits with the stock belt clip that you get with the oem waffle textured case.

this is a link for a black one.
Black Hard Rubberized Cover Case for Motorola Droid X - eBay (item 150574033126 end time Mar-08-11 18:41:38 PST)

this is the same one but a different color. i put this one here because it shows the features to look for better. there are different versions of these so here are the features that i look for when i get one. look for the outline of the battery door on the back of the case and the curves on the front of the case, and that it has 2 small holes in the back for the speaker and vent.
Motorola Droid X Case Cover Faceplate Rubberized Orange - eBay (item 400200255614 end time Apr-03-11 17:48:57 PDT)

this style case is kind of the same but a little bit wider and wont fit in the oem holster. but if your not using the oem holster i would get this kind because they are made a little better. the snaps on the side are stronger. on these look for the straight lines on the front side and 1 large whole for both the speaker and vent.
Rubberized Hard Case RED for Motorola MB810 Droid X - eBay (item 180636145596 end time Apr-05-11 13:47:51 PDT)

i have both and would feel pretty safe with either. and yes they both work with extended battery and extended battery cover.

i'll try and get some pics on here of both these and the seidio active when i can. camera is down for repair so i'll probably have to use the wife's bb.
