Accessories Seidio Innocase Active

I talked to a rep today and she said the other colors should be available in the next 2-3 days. I think I am going to wait for others to post pictures before I jump on it.

I will post pics as soon as i get it. It may have been shipped tuesday, but it seems like me choosing the free postal service shipping was a mistake. I live in NM, and it is coming from TX... really, it should have been here yesterday. So far, this is all the USPS shows for shipping data:

Guys, I just got mine in the mail. It's EXCELLENT! I absolutely love it, much nicer than the Innocase. If you guys want, I'll snap some photos. Tell me what you want to see different from the ones Seidio provides. It, like my Innocase, is all black.

Mail - did you choose the free shipping option as well?

Anyway, if you can beat me to pics anyway. I will be sure to take some myself, since i have a screen protector, and I know people are curious about the fit.

They didn't have a free shipping option when I ordered it 3 days ago 6/22. I paid for the fedex $7 shipping.

I'll take some pics if people request them. It fits very snug. It may be tomorrow before I get to, as I work tonight.

Looking forward to the pictures. Is it much bulkier than the Innocase II? Just chatted with Seidio CS, apparently the other colours should be available shortly. I guess I will continue to wait.

can you cut out the back for the extended battery like you can to the verizon case? or would this case the case to completely break?

Look at the pics and description, i cant imagine why you would buy this case to cut it up. It is actually two pieces (of rubber inner piece, and a plastic outside) that go together. So sure you CAN cut it, but it would be a big waste.

You could cut it up if you wanted to, it would allow, but I think it would look ridiculous if you did.

And no, it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. I think it's great to hold, feels more expensive. The thickness difference is maybe a millimeter more. So you can visualize it, think of the back of the Innocase II. The vertical raised area to protect the battery is about how the rest of the back is.

Will it fit in the Innocase II holster?

The reason I ask is my Innocase II Holster will fit the HTC silicone case. I bought that with the INC and just recently got the Innocase II. So if it the INC with the Innocase Active is the same size with the HTC Silicone, it should fit no problem.

im getting mine monday, mine is stuck at the dulles, va destination sorting facility which is like 5miles away from me...it pisses me off that its so close but i have to wait like 3 days for it to get here.

I was told it wouldn't [fit the Innocase II holster], but I don't have a holster to test it.

Amazon.com had the Innocase Active case on sale last week for $15, with free shipping. I had been using (and still have) the Innocase II case with the Innocase II holster. I like the Innocase II but it doesn't offer enough protection, IMO--so I figured it was worth trying the Active case. It arrived yesterday. I'm really liking it so far. The grip is perfect and very comfortable. It results in a slightly larger feel, but not by much.

I hadn't considered that the Active case might not fit the Innocase II holster. Seidio's web site states that the two aren't compatible. IMO, it's a very close fit. The phone fits into the holster fine and the springed clip that keeps the phone in the case holds the device in the holster properly. One issue, however, is that the springed clip doesn't quite return to its normal position. Also, you can't push the phone into the holster by forcing it past the springed clip; you have to manually extend the clip, place the phone in the holster, and then let the clip return to it's almost-normal position. This is fine by me, though, since I perform the same steps with the Innocase II; I've never been comfortable pushing the phone into the holster by forcing it past the springed clip.

I'll continue using this new combination for the next few days to see how it works and to make sure the phone doesn't accidentally pop out of the case. It will also be interesting to see whether the springed clip not quite returning to its normal position puts undue stress on the holster. I'm optimistic that it will be fine.

UPDATE: My only minor complaint so far is that the covered power button doesn't always respond to my keypress. You have to press the cover firmly in order for it to depress the physical power button underneath. Otherwise, I'm still loving this case!

FYI, I just noticed that Amazon.com will once again be selling the black Innocase Active at a discount today (23 December) at 12:45pm (Eastern). Look for it on their Holiday Lightning Deals page. If you're undecided, now is the time to buy!
