??? Same softcase cover has been available at Best Buy since they had the Hero upon release. Maybe not Seido but all the same.
By the way... whats good about it? Offers a great no slip soft feel to the Hero, I like it. I actually tuck an extra MicroSD card between the case and cover in the back that has all my music on it, I swap it out when I wanna grove a bit, lolz.

Not even close. The Seidio Innocase isn't anything like the soft silicone phone condom Best Buy (and Sprint) have carried since they started selling the Hero. The Innocase is made out of a tough material which is only slightly flexible and it fits the phone like a second skin which only adds about 1mm (0.039") of thickness to the phone. It's about as close as you can come to maintaining the original size and shape of the bare phone while protecting it with a case.

The Seidio Innocases tend to be the thinnest hard shell cases I've seen. If you want a little extra protection while adding a minimal amount of bulk, they are the way to go. The one for my Treo Pro was the first, and I'd definitely buy it again. Plus they usually create a holster to match up with it as well. I actually use the holster from my Treo Pro with the Hero and Moment. Hero in the cheap hard shell case many have gotten and the Moment without a case. It's a great combo.
Nice case. Are there screen protectors also as good. Ive been looking at screen protectors and some are saying that they arent getting as good of a response as to no screen protector. I have the diamond right now with no screen protector on it for about 6 months and nothing has happened yet. knock on wood.

you made that your first post? I'll second the quality of their cases, though I think I talked highly about them a few posts up. Sales pitch or not, I haven't found a hard type case that's thinner. I hate extra bulk which is what silicone type ones add. The ones that are too thin (like Seidio's actually) end up being too pliable.

So is the case at Best Buy a hard case? Is it two parts? How does it compare to the Seidio one? I currently have the Sprint silicone one and it's not bad. Hard to get out of my pocket sometimes though...

I do, in fact like the feel of the Innocase (I had it for my HTC Touch), however, I've broken 3 of them. Not from abuse, but from simple funcitionality. I had to remove the case to get to the SD Card, each time I removed the case (VERY CAUTIOUSLY) I broke the "snaps" that lock it in place. They did, however, replace it each time with no questions asked, usually receiving the new case within 5 business days. So, while their customer service appears to be second-to-none, the product just wasn't working for me personally.
The other issue I have has to do with their extended battery (at least it's a semi-issue for the time being). There is a post over on PPCGeeks stating that there is an app called Smart Monitor that shows all of your battery stats (temperature, charge status, remaining charge, time remaining and battery capacity). I have the extended 1750 mAh battery, and using that app, it shows the capacity of the battery at 1500 mAh. I did place a call and talk to a tech rep with Seidio and he assured me that the battery goes through testing with an industrial tester and must meet specs before shipping. I'm not accusing them of anything, because I don't know how that particular app measures capacity (it's most likely a bug in the software) and since I don't know how else to test battery capacity, and can't find another app in the market to do the same, I have to take their word for it. I don't doubt the fact that it is what they say it is, but I'm hoping I don't find out otherwise.
Overall though...now that I've dragged this on WAYYYYY too long, Seidio makes some pretty nice stuff.

The one I got at Best Buy was an official HTC Silicon case. Not a hard case. It's nice, fits very well. Adds maybe 2mm a side. Only bad part is it seems to make it hard to get out of my pocket, it's that grippy. I had a Sedio silicon case for my HTC Touch...it didn't fit well. Or at least got stretched out quick. If their hard case is thin I'd think about it.

FWIW, I have no affiliation with 'em whatsoever. I'm just a maintenance supervisor for a contract pharmaceutical laboratory who can read and really liked the Innocases I've owned for my previous phones.
