Help Selective Call Screening

I am looking for an app that will screen calls so that only a selected group of people will ring through to my phone. The trick is I only want that to be active at nights and during the day everyone can get through to me. I have no problem with manually starting the app at night and then stopping it the next morning.

Would appreciate your suggestions on an app that would meet my needs.

Thank you very much. I have installed Quick Shortcut (I have Go Launcher and tried using its shortcut addition but it did not seem to work) and then was able to activate Blocking mode. It seems very starnge that Verizon would hide this feature since it is very useful.

Thanks for your help it seems to do exactly what I want. The only trouble (and it is just a minor issue) is that I have the icon in my notification bar all the time which I would prefer not to have.

It looks like I have a problem with the implementation (and I have rebooted). Just to test out the mode I set it to "disable incoming calls" & "disable notifications" & "always" & "allowed Contacts - None" and I still get calls and of course I have Blocking mode "on".

Can you suggest what I am doing wrong?

Yeah, I don't like the notification icon either. I don't know any way around it though.

I have no idea why Verizon has chosen to block this feature.

There is a way around it but unfortunately it requires root and someone would need to decompile the settings.apk and remove some code before recompiling it.

I do this on mine. Its much better!

SUroot -are you suggesting that your root fix would eliminate the notification issue or are you saying that is what is needed just to make Mode Blocking work on a Verizon phone? I am pretty sure that I setup mode blocking correctly so I am wondering if not being rooted is a problem with a Verizon phone.

What do you think?

I just use "blacklist" app. It actualy just blocked a call like 5min ago lol

I'm talking about the notifications

I would give it a try (as I stated in my emails to you) if you have a trial version. I have tried others and they did not work. I appreciate your offer of giving money back but I just don't want to go thru that hassle.

PS: I really think it would be better for you to identify yourself as the developer of the app that you are recommending.
