Help Selling my Dinc - Do I NEED to unroot?

I received the "any phone free" email last week and moved up to a Nexus. So, I am selling my Dinc. I have re-flashed back to stock 2.2, but kept root. Do I really need to unroot to sell it, or is that just if I had to send it back to Verizon?

Can someone access personal information if I sell it as rooted but stock?

Thanks for all the help I've received in this forum! Great bunch of folks here!

You don't need to unroot it, it can actually be a selling point. I would just ask whoever you sell it to if they want it rooted or not.
As to personal information stored on the phone, having it rooted or unrooted doesn't really effect the ability do dig up old deleted files from the phone. If someone has enough technical know how to recover previously deleted files, being able to root the phone even if you unroot it wouldn't be a problem.

There are companies that exist that specialize in completely deleting (overwriting) data that has been erased.
