Help Sencha HTML5 & Xoom

Read this article today about the Xoom underperforming on benchmark tests conducted by Sencha. I'm no tech guy but I recall Sencha HTML5 being touted by Apple as a viable alternative for Flash. The odd thing is I don't recall reading any Xoom user complaints about this. I don't know enough about the technical aspects to speak with authority but it seems strange especially when Sencha stands to gain financially as more Ipads are sold. If this was a such a big issue would it not have surfaced early on via other reviews or anecdotal reporting.
