Help Sending 3d pics

Me and girlfriend each got the HTC 3d last week and just today I got around to trying to take a 3d pic and send it to her and while I was attaching it automatically converted it to 2d. I thought we could send 3d pics to to other 3d phones, Now that I think about it, How does the phone know that im sending the 3d pic to another 3d capable phone?? Hmmmm

I would use a file explorer and send the file itself in order to prevent the phone from converting the pic to 2d

you mean like sending it to her Gmail or something like that other than texting?

Yeah it doesn't work as a text, you have to email it.

Yes, or you can also share a folder from your phone, so Both of you can save 3d pics or anything else on it. Of course it will require both you having the same file explorer app.

Did you toke the 3D pic in mpo or jps format? I have read something saying jps is base on jpg, where if you open it on a pc, it will give you side be side image. I'm guessing that if it is jps then it could work sending either 2d or 3d phone.
