Sending Directions Found Using Google Maps To Others

Anybody know how to..."see title".

After entering source and destination information via google maps, is there a way to forward the resulting directions whether it be via text, email, or otherwise.

Alternatively, is there a way to forward basic GPS location info via the same methods.

I have not been able to find this option via Footprints either.

Help appreciated.

Partial solution found. This sends GPS location info, but not directions.

Click and hold on a pin or any point on map > Click resulting bubble > Share this place > via Email, SMS, Facebook, etc.
