Sending email in gmail too long

hi i am using my touch 3g and from cupcake from donut to eclair now in gmail i have always the same problem,when i compose email in gmail and send it,sending takes so long every time i must do the refresh to send that e mail,if i am do not refresh red letters says sending 2 3 hours and when i am do refresh that email will sent right away.how this can be fix it?

i had this same problem, go to settings-applications-manage apps-gmail- clear data.
