Help Sending mms - pictures rotate?

When I send a photo via MMS, the picture rotates counter-clockwise. Even if I then rotate the image (in gallery) and try to send the rotated image as an MMS, the image will still be rotated counter-clockwise as it was before. Any way to fix this?!

Some (not all) of my received mms messages also arrive rotated counter-clockwise. WTF?!

I use Handcent for texting and it never does that

I'm thinking it rotates it with handcent bkuz the picture is too big, but that's an educated guess

mine seems to send MMS pics using the OEM messaging app but not using Handcent. when using Handcent i get the swirling circle forever, that's a shame because i really like the features of Handcent. both apps turn the picture sideways too.

that's unfortunate bkuz i use handcent as my default messaging app w/o a problem. when i first got the phone i had an issue with rotating pics, but never them not sending. now that's i'm rooted i have no problems with pics at all.

i was never able to get Handcent to send pics so i tried ChompSMS and it sends pics perfectly and looks just like Handcent.

I've noticed that when I take pictures (with the stock messaging app) in landscape mode it sends them fine, but when I take pics in portrait mode it rotates the pics when I send them.

Landscape pics work fine.... :)

yea but people don't always want to take landscape pictures and what if they want to take pictures in portrait mode? Why can't this stupid phone just send a picture how it is without rotating it like every other phone?

Found this thread while sifting through the forums, I have the same issue with my Epic 4g, and it's been driving me insane since day one.

I just found out that using a new camera app, camera 360 in my case, fixes this problem. It must be an issue with the stock camera app.

Since we're on the topic of cameras, I miss being able to tap and focus on a subject like the Vibrant, I don't like pressing the shutter button to get a focus and then take a picture, I'd like to pre-focus in a manner of speaking. Any advice to a new Nexus owner? Thanks!
