Is it normal for pics via text take forever to be sent?

Not normal. My S4 sends them just fine. Perhaps it's a network and provider problem? did you try sending images over other apps like whatsapp? Is it slow in every case, or just MMS ? Keep in mind, MMS is quite an old technology, means for small data size on slow networks. While images from cameras are larger in size with every week. If the network is slow and image large, could take a while to send.

Thank you! I have always had an iphone and never had this issue. Maybe I will try your advise and try a different app. Its not bad at times while some days it seems forever to text a pic. Thanks for your input.

Coming from an iPhone, did you take the steps of removing yourself from the Apple servers? If not, they may be holding your messages hostage. And yes, I'm serious LoL.

If you still have the iPhone: Go into settings and disable iMessage.
If not: Log into your Apple account and turn it off there.

Optional Steps:
- Remove your phone number from your Apple Account
- Remove your iPhone from the account
- Go to iCloud and remove the phone there
