Sending songs to another phone via bluetooth

Hi eveyone. I have another question. From older metro phones I was able to send songs stored in my sd card to friends from my phone to theirs through bluetooth. I tried everything with this phone but I cant seem to send any songs to phones via bluetooth. How can I do this?

You must do it from a file browser. If you're still stock, you can use ThinkFree Office, which can browse the SD Card. If you're rooted, you more than likely have Root Explorer already.

Long press on the item you wish to send. Choose Send and you'll be presented with the option for Bluetooth. Photo items in the Gallery can be sent using the menu that appears when viewing a single picture.

Thanks. I need to know whats rooting is all about since it seems interesting. I take it its the jailbreak version for this phone. Anyway thanks, thinkfree gets the job done. With each phone upgrade metro phones seems to get harder to operate. Guess thats their catch

It's different from jailbreaking. Rooting is like going from a Limited User to an Administrator in Windows. Android on it's own is a pretty open system, but you need to be an administrator to get some things done (like uninstall Metro bloatware).

Just an FYI, Astro file viewer does not require rooting. I have never tried to send something through BT with it, but you can see folders such as music and pics.
