sending the same text message

Hi I just recently switched over from iPhone to a S4. For some reason , my phone sends duplicate texts to some people. I have already removed my phone number from my Apple account but the problem still occurs. I have went to Best Buy twice and all they did was reset/reflash. Also, I've used two different messaging app. I first used the stock messaging app thinking that was the problem then I switched to the textra and the problem is still reoccurring. What do you guys suggest I do to stop the duplicate texts?

This is a nightmare. I still am not receiving any text messages that are sent through imessage.
