Sense 3.0 Update - Known issues so far

Just got my update to Sense 3.0 yesterday. Everything went fine, but now my Friend stream is saying "You don't appear to be signed in to any social networks. Tap to sign in to social networks" On tapping, it takes me to the accounts and syn page where I can see I am logged into facebook, linkedIn for HTC Sense and twitter. But still the main screen shows the same error. I deleted my LinkedIn and facebook accounts and recreated them and still shows me the same problem. Anyone else face the same issue?

I've had the 3.0 update for about two months, and I've more recently run into a problem... My phone freezing and needing to take the battery out to restart. Anyone else having this?

A lot of the time, it'll be I press the button to turn on the screen and just the home, menu and back buttons likght up at the bottom, and it won't ever turn the screen on.

Has the Sense 3.0 update improved the camera software? Are pics taken with motion now a bit stabler? Does the camera see any improvements at all? Get back to me peeps.

Hi all,

I am not sure if this is discussed before in this thread or some other thread, hence i would start by asking apologies if this is a repetition.

I recently updated my Desire HD to Sense 3.0. The 3D UI looks really cool. But i am seeing following issues

1. Performance issues while launching Facebook and other applications which uses 3G or GPRS.
2. Phone restarts everytime i come out of browser by clicking on the home Key. (This is really big issue for me, as it happens almost once every 2 times i use the browser.
3. Performance issues while navigating between screens.
4. Shutsdown when trying to answer a call by dragging the "Accept" icon into the ring. - does not happen all the time. I have seen it once or twice.

Can someone please let me know if you are facing these issues. If yes, then have you found any fixes for these issues ?

Is hard reset a good solution to solve the problems mentioned above ?

Any help in this matter is appreciated.

Using a Sense 3.5 ROM here so I'm not exactly able to be 100% correct.

Facebook has been a pain lately opening it up when using 3G, it was fine one day and then an update or 2 later of the app and it's just become really slow to open and load the news feed so I don't think it's down the the Sense 3.0 update.

As for the other 3 issues you list I have been in the very situations that you describe and never had a phone reset while doing them or had any performance issues so perhaps the update hasn't quite installed correctly. Maybe a hard reset will sort it out but before you do that someone else with more technical knowledge should offer their opinion.

A hard reset is indeed a good solution. Mine was dreadfully unstable after the update until I did the hard reset and now it works great.

Hi Ashwin, yes a lot of people have found a factory reset solves their problems with the update. Some folk have also reported that changing/removing your SD Card or removing your facebook account, then re adding it will also help.

To add to what Casey has said, I've also found FB to be a tad ropey lately. When I access the app over 3G, it will tell me my username and/or password is incorrect so maybe the FB issues are their end and not connected to the update?

Has anyone discovered how you can get rid of the spinning homescreen when you unlock yet? Its a trifle irritating...
:(

okay so ive read your guys stuff but it doesnt fix my problem.
the navagation app commonly pops up in my drag down bar, as i try click it i get offered settings or cancel.
cancel just makes the problem delayed for 0 - 30 seconds.
doing seting to aloow satalight acces only does basicly the same.
the odd time it will alow me to veiw a menu and if im quick i can click exit which will let me have my phone for 5 minutes before it will start its self again.

is there any walk though or does any one know steps to fix this
