Root Sense Based better battery kernel?

As far as i understand it, HTC are very giving with there voltages for their CPU, i also understand that on ASOP ROM's which are generally better for battery life then sense based.

My question is, is there a decent kernel for a sense based ROM? maybe something that improves battery a little?

Im up for trying a few because of the wonderful Nandroid backups =)

Any suggestions?
