Root Sense browser/keyboard on MIUI?

Hi there folks first time poster/rooter so be gentle (I have tried googling for some answers on these questions but I'm coming up blank so far)

Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and rooted my Desire, nothing out of the ordinary there, but for some reason the power went to my head and I started looking around for a ROM to install just because I could :P

I settled on MIUI becuase I've always gravitated towards MIUI rooted phones in the 'Show us your homescreens' thread and went with the latest stable MIUIDetox becuase it seemed the least hassle free installation wise....

After a bit of jiggery pokery and a late night i've got most of the stuff back running the way I want it but there is a few things bugging me, mainly the keyboard and the browser and so we come to the point of my post.

Is it possible to install the default HTC Sense Desire browser (mostly because I like being able to easily toggle mobile non-mobile modes) and keyboard (becuase I like its fat buttons :p) on MIUI and if so where the heck can you find the .apks?

Any advice/tips/links are most appreciated :)

Guess I'll just need to try get the standard MIUI one to play ball, or finally cave and get a third party browser...
 
Have decided I totally hate whatever browser that came packaged with this ROM, anybody got any suggestions for a good replacement? (needs proper flash support and ability to toggle mobile/desktop easily)

Thinking either Skyfire (but i'm told thats not 'real' flash support) or Miren (same deal it seems)
 
Seems I prefer function over form, restored back to my factory standard Sense+Froyo to get my browser back :P

Guess i'll need to stick to Sense ROMS in future (or just unroot and go back to the simple life :p)

You were right sir, I could not resist for long and gave the new 1.7.15 Miui ROM a whirl, and have found an acceptable substitute for the sense browser in Dolphin HD :)

Only problem so far seems to be the lack of real battery life improvement, but I still have not installed Set CPU or looked at trying a different kernel yet...
 
Just went ahead and flashed the kernel after I went through about 15% battery in the space of 40mins yesterday,will see how it lasts now :)

Which version did you download? 2.0? or 1.4? Most folks seem to prefer 1.4! Also you have to give it at least few days before battery settles down so be patient...
 
Double post minutes apart, weird, anyway I went for the 2.0 aix/havs/bfs version.

Will give it a day or three to settle and clear the stats if its still not playing the game.
