Root Sense vs AOSP List And Names

Dentul

I see various discussions on favorite ROM Types. AOSP vs SENSE. In the "ROM List" within these forums, is there an easy way to know which ROM is an "AOSP" and which is "SENSE"? I don't always see that listed in the descriptions.

Also, just a question as to the way Custom ROM's are named. Why are numbers used within the name, like AO5P and S3N3E?
It makes it a little confusing to tell someone about a certain ROM and spelling it with numbers. Not a big deal, just curious.
Thanks to all posters on these threads.

If it doesn't say it's AOSP it's more than likely Sense. There are only a handful of AOSP builds so it shouldn't be too hard.

The ROMs with numbers are the developer being a "hackster" and showing how cool he thinks he is. I think it's obnoxious, personally.

AOSP ROMs:
CM7
Liquid
OMFGB
OMGB
ShiftAOSP
BlackAOSP

You're right. I didn't add it because A. I forgot and B. I don't know one person who flashed it. Seriously, not one, lol

Lol: right around the time we were discussing this, the cm7 thread on rootz was discussing this too. That's probably the most this ROM had been discussed since it was released. I bet its ears are ringing, lol.
