Help Sensors Problem

Hi,
I've just bought from amazon a new Galaxy S3 I9300 International version (Android version 4.1.9).
It works quite well, but I noticed that ANY compass app I installed doesn't work.
Using the *#0*# sequence, the magnetic sensor appears but gives no information.
Using the Phone Tester app I get from the Sensors status that my device doesn't have:
-Compass
-Magnetic field sensor
-Temperature sensor
-Gyroscope
-Pressure Sensor.

Is it supposed to be like that?
What can I do?
Thanks.

Your phone might have a digital compass -which use GPS for to calculate a compass- and not a magnetic field compass. Many compass apps demands a magnetic field compass for proper function.

These other allegedly missing sensors ... maybe you'd try another diagnostic tool, e.g. CPU-Z.

Im not sure if i understand the post but theres a strange way to reset the gyro, compass or whatever. you hold it at arms length and kind of twist it in a figure-eight motion. Very hard to explain but ive seen youtube vids and it does work
